Oriental Tempayan

I do not know who is the first owner or owners prior to me. Even the manufacturer or the year it was manufactured is not known. This excellent piece of artwork was purchased over 30 years ago from a shop in Temple Street in Melaka. Hopefully someone reading into this can share some light to its true age and its origin. This Tempayan or "Crock" or "Large Earthenware" or "Large Jar" (whatever the English name) has an approximate diameter of 48mm x Height 38mm and its diameter at the base is 30mm. The measurements are approximate as this is a hand made item and unlikely to get perfect round or square. Unlike most tempayans, what makes this so unique are the embossed 3 types of fruits, 5 golden birds (most probably swallows) and 5 multi-coloured gold fishes imprinted inside the Jar.
